An insurance company can request that a survey is undertaken prior to accepting a particular yacht for insurance.

The insurance company will be interested in knowing about any specific aspect of the yacht that could cause it to suffer a loss. A realistic assessment of the value of the yacht will also need to be established, based on the condition of the yacht.

Focus will be on such features as fuel and gas systems, skin fittings, safety appliances, and general maintenance of the yacht.

​

An in depth report will be written up within 5 working days of the survey being undertaken, and emailed with an invoice for the work in a PDF form. Reports can also be printed and posted if this is a preferred method.
